Referee Sign-up

Hello BCYSA Family!

The pictured referee is Allan Chapman. He was elected MLS Referee of the year 2017. If you start now, you can become as good as he is.

Interested in becoming a referee? Here are a few details:

- The minimum age to get started is 13.
- The season starts mid August and runs through October.
- Most games are scheduled for Saturdays, between 8:00am and about 3:00pm.
- Referees get paid a fee for each game worked.
- Pay starts at $11 for beginners and goes up to $50 for experienced adults.
- On average you will get assigned to 2 games per Saturday, if you are available.
- We offer an entry level uniform package for $15. A more advanced package usually runs about $40.
- In addition to that package you need to have a stop watch and some good shoes. They can be soccer cleats or running shoes.
- There are no other costs.
- Attending training is mandatory.
- You can be a referee and still play games. We will coordinate around that.
